sum·mer buck·et list (noun informal): a number of experiences or achievements that a person hopes to have or accomplish during their the summer months, mostly involving lots of water, ice cream, and fireworks.

Summer is just around the corner. And while my kid’s aren’t in school-aged yet, I still like to plan out some fun activities to take advantage of all the cool summer vibes. Last summer was a bit of a bust, with a newborn, potty training, and a large DIY project taking up all my time. Now that all those things are done (or are bigger), I don’t plan on letting this summer go to waste! So I’ve put together a summer bucket list filled with fun activities to do with the kiddos and a few adult-pleasures to make the most of the next few months.

  • Go to the splash pad
  • Paint a picture
  • Finish my nephew’s quilt
  • Read a book
  • Drink a margarita
  • Go to Zoo Nights
  • Sell Charlie’s old baby things

  • Watch fireworks from the clubhouse
  • Take an evening walk
  • Eat a golden kiwi
  • Get Charlie walking
  • Go for a swim at night
  • Have a cookout
  • Eat ice cream

  • Play at the children’s museum
  • Swim in the pool
  • Practice my photography
  • Sell my old car
  • Visit the indoor trampoline park
  • Have dinner on the patio
  • Run through the sprinklers

  • Visit the petting zoo
  • Have a water balloon fight
  • Start Charlie’s quilt
  • Catch up on magazines
  • Make waffles
