Have you ever had one of those ideas that everyone else thought was crazy? You know, something like –
“I’m gonna paint the dresser bright yellow and put it into the living room”
“Can I paint the office ‘Teal’?”
“I’m making felt taxidermy heads for the nursery“
“I think I’m going to paint a herringbone pattern on the living room wall”
Happens to me all the time. I spend a lot of time reassuring people, “Just wait until you see it. It’s gonna be amazing!” Bless my husband . . . he’s learned not to ask questions and just go with it. Most other people look at me like I have 4 heads. So when I announced that I was painting all our interior doors black, hubby just said, “OK.” Meanwhile, my dad asked if I was going goth. I assured him that I was not and to “Just wait until you see it. It’s gonna be amazing!” And it is.
I love the way the white trim and the silver hardware pop off the dark color. I feel like it makes it look a little more high-end and less builder grade.
I love how it looks! Even my dad admitted that it not only doesn’t look goth, but that it looks really good (he always admits that in the end . . . don’t know why he even questions me anymore)!

Do it! I waited a long time to paint mine, and I wish I would have done it sooner! Looks amazing!
