DIY Herringbone Accent Wall

If you follow me on Instagram, you got sneak peeks of this project as I was working on it. Now it’s time to share it with the world! Introducing: my DIY herringbone wall!

I was inspired by this project that I found via Pinterest:

I have a HUGE blank wall in the living room that I knew would be perfect for a project like this.

I wavered for a long, long time on whether or not I wanted to take on this project. No one step was hard, but I knew that all together it would be time consuming and tedious. I wasn’t sure I’d have the energy or patience. The idea of doing a herringbone wall was great! But doing a wall like that in real life? Probably not very fun. Especially since I HATE to paint!

And once I decided to go ahead and tackle that giant paint project, then I KNEW it wasn’t fun. I will admit to texting my husband at one point and telling him I hated my life. And to never let me do something like that again!

The thing that kept driving me to just keep going was that I knew it would look amazing when it was done. And it does!

It’s not only awesome, but it’s unique! How many people do you know that have a wall like this?
